Cairo, Illinois.

A place I did research on was Cairo, Illinois. Cairo has a population of about 3,632 people. The town is thought of the strangest city on the river. Cairo has been known as a sad place, abandoned. The city was built to have a population 5 times of what it is now.

Similarities in Movies--

The Similarities in Johnny Tremain, Ishi, and Jude. Some similarities between the stories, I thought that the Movie "Across the Universe" was a very good movie, the director did a very good job on the amazing colors and shots they got. It seemed very different from the other two story's but there were some similarities like..- All of them get in a fight.

Japanese man is a double A-bomb survivor

In the story about the Japanese man who survived both A-bomb attacks. I think the story is very sad. Because of everyone dying. However that man was very lucky that he survived BOTH attacks.

The Cat Years

I agree with the story "The Cat years". I think Children are like dogs and Teenagers are like cats. Because if you think about if think about it children most listen to their parents footstep and most dogs listen to their owners. Cats do most of their own things just like teenagers.

Blahhhh

In The Boston Massacre Trial it was about a a shooting that the british soldiers had with people on the streets. The fight all came with the soldiers walking by and the people on the street starting throwing things, hitting them with clubs and supposably dared them to shoot them. The trial was about who called the first shot and if the captain of the soldiers had told them to shoot and the whole story of it. In the trial the lawyer is getting many suggestions from his wife. They are many different story's to the trial. There is one such as that the Captain of the Soldier was standing behind the men and called them out to shoot before the first shot.

~~Liberty~~

I thought a very interesting part was when the British were sailing down the Hudson and the Champlain river to find out that they weren't even connected. That was very suprising to the British because they couldn't bring there ship with them. The British liked to fight face to face. The Americans hid behind trees and rocks. Anywhere that you could hide they were there.

The movie was about pilgrims that came to cape cod and found season villages. I really liked when the fought in their war they had between the Indians and the pilgrims.

To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird was a great movie. The movie was about a man named Tom Robinson who went to trial for getting accused of rape and abusing Mayella Violet Ewell. The Trial went in Mayella's story that Mr. Robinson would always do little chores that Mayella couldn't do herself , and on one day she accused him of raping her during the time he was supposed to do his chore. In the Tom Robinson story at the trial was that he was called in by Mayella to do some chores for her as he has done before, and while she was making him stand on a stool and make him get her something she couldn't reach she grabbed him by the legs and knocked him over he then said that Mayella then tried to kiss him, he pushed her off and started to run. Tom Robinson's story was true, but Mayella had lied. Later Tom Robinson was found guilty even though he hadn't of lied and didn't rape Mayella.
